Painted Faux Floor Rug

Our house dates back to 1899. The floors in the dining room underneath the carpet were hiding these tiles from the 50’s or 60’s. Because they are virtually indestructible and Dolly won’t walk on a floor without a carpet I had to come up with a plan to fool her… they work! Created by using the existing tiles as a grid, pieces of stencil and latex paint. Once year I add another coat of clear latex just to keep it fresh and shiny.
